Culinary delights on the seashore in Xàbia, near Denia

From 21st-25th May, Xàbia will welcome the Jornadas Gastronómicas (4th Annual Festival of Gastronomy). Those who love the sea and good food mustn't miss this chance to enjoy delicious dishes in the marquee erected right on the edge of the Arenal beach.

For a few days this point of the Alicante coastline will become the focal point for local gastronomy. For the first time, there will be live music, several ambiences and a raffle for a Mediterranean cruise.

Over the five days you can stroll around the marquee and buy "tasting vouchers" for 15 Euros. They allow you to try up to four different dishes and a cocktail, along with Denomination of Origin wines, desserts, coffee, etc.

This year, the Xàbia Restaurant Owner's Association has decided to dedicate one of the days to the pinchos (snacks) that play such an important role in restaurants along the Costa Blanca.

The 4th Jornadas Gastronómicas will be inaugurated by chefs from the Gota de Mar, La Rústica, Mezquida and Restaurante Sur. The cocktail will be prepared by the barman from the La Esquina bar.

On Thursday 22nd, the dishes will be prepared by the Calima, Club Náutico & Torremar, La Fontana and Trencall restaurants, while the cocktail will be created by the Parador de Turismo.
